Hits
like Counting Crows' "Mr. Jones" and "Rain King"
combine with Live's "Lightning Crashes" and "Lakini's
Juice" to prove that rock is still very much alive. When both
groups appear together onstage to jointly perform some of those hits,
it's apparent what sets this show apart from the rest of the pack.
Counting
Crows lead singer Adam Duritz's vocals evoke Bruce Springsteen as he
sings alternating verses of Live's single, "The Dolphins
Cry," but it's Ed Kowalczyk who steals the show. From start to
finish, the Live front man owns the stage, ripping
through
songs like "I Alone" and "Shit Town" with an
amazing stage presence.
So
what if they don't look good in leather?
