Feel
free to weep openly, men. Nash Bridges has been cancelled.
No, no. Nobody is crying because Don Johnson is once again
being unceremoniously booted from national television. (He'll
save |
his
performances for those porn shop in-store video machines.)
Instead, the floodgates are opening because Jodi Lyn O'Keefe, who for
the last six years has played Johnson's gorgeous daughter and is now
without a full-time gig!
Prior
to igniting imaginations as "Cassidy Bridges," Jodi
modeled for everything from telephones to Gitano jeans. Then it
was off to Hollywood where she showed up on "Another World,"
the now-defunct soap where she played an upper-crust teen with
attitude problems. At the tender (and, gentlemen, illegal!) age
of 17, she showed up on CBS's Nash Bridges. Now 22, she's not
only legal, she's also blossomed into one of TV's hottest babes.
Additionally,
she has heated up the silver screen in such hits as "Halloween:
H2O" and teen favorite "She's All That." Most
recently, Jodi - the youngest of three kids born in New Jersey - got
raised pulses in HBO's "Devil in the Flesh 2." Sure,
it wasn't big-budget, but Jodi can steam up the screen in a home
movie if necessary.
Whether
it's for her pouty lips, crystal blue eyes, or that body - oh, that
body! - O'Keefe is ripe for another TV role. Maybe she'll get a
chance to show up on a WB hit, which is well-known for launching the
careers of all kinds of babes? (Can we kindly recommend her to
replace Shannen Doherty on "Charmed"? Out with the
uber-bitch; in with the uber-babe!)
Even
if it takes a bit longer than this fall for Jodi Lyn to find a new
home in Prime-Time, she has no worries. She always has a place
in our hearts! And, if she falls on truly hard times and
needs a place to crash, she's always welcome to use the sofa-bed in
the YourMVP office!
